Stunningly white powder soft sands meet gentle seas colored in vibrant and varied hues of turquoise.

Anguilla itself is only 35 square miles with 33 gorgeous beaches, so as you can imagine, that is a lot of white sand! Anguilla is easily one of the most beautiful of the Caribbean islands. With so many Awesome Anguilla beaches, time may not permits to visit all.  So, we picked some of our favorites  beaches in Anguilla.

Island Harbour Bay

Island Harbour is the place to experience the local life. Lined with coconut palm trees and a harbour full of boats known as ‘’The Fisherman’s village” is where most of Anguilla’s lobster, crab and crayfish are caught. It is also the host of a rapidly growing event Festival Del Mar.  About 100 yards away from shore is “Scilly Cay” a true tourist destination and tropical playground.

Shoal Bay East

One of the visitors and locals favorite Anguilla Beaches – Shoal Bay East, a true representation of “Tranquility Wrapped in Blue.” Voted “the best beach in the world” by travel specialist, Shoal bay offers nothing but powdery white sands and crystal waters decked with some of the most amazing restaurants and resorts. The reefs in Shoal Bay add to the spectacular scenery which makes the view one to die for. What’s most special of all about Shoal Bay? The stunning sunset scenes. Ending your afternoon with Anguilla’s natural lightshow, a spectacle of different shades of bright oranges, rich reds and soothing violets, is truly special at Shoal Bay.

Crocus Bay

On the NorthShore, you will be delighted by unfolding a peaceful, but different from the rest Anguilla beaches named Crocus Bay. Engulfed with magnificent cliffs and a breath taking view of Anguilla’s off shore cays, Crocus Bay is truly magnificent. It is home of the beautiful and stylish Davida’s Restaurant where you can enjoy delicious lunch between swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. But Before arriving at Davida’s you will be taken by the spectacular “Ce Blue” which is housed in the hills. Across from Davida’s, enter by boat or rope Little Bay is your very own private paradise. Protected by high cliffs with little surf present it is perfect for snorkeling and family getaways. Don’t forget your towels and snacks, they are a must!

Sandy Ground

The east is truly full of splendor but you haven’t experienced “Anguilla’s Life” if you have never visited “Sandy Ground” also known as Road Bay. This beach truly captures the essence of Anguilla. Full of history and island flavor, local bars and vibrant night life, Sandy ground is truly one of the best. The long beach is lined with high cliffs and a salt pond behind it. Being one of Anguilla’s main ports, you will find fishing and pleasure boats here in abundance. Sandy Ground is also home of “Festival- August Monday” and annual boat races are held here. If you want to party head on over to Sandy Ground.

Meads Bay

Meads Bays, one of the islands wide, expansive and impressive Anguilla beaches. Many resorts and villas like the exquisite Viceroy and Malliouhana are built into the surrounding nature. Here you will find some delightful restaurants like Blanchards, Straw Hat, Ocean Echo from beach shacks to fine dining and lots of beach chairs to encourage total relaxation. External joy to the soul, take a walk in the powdery white sand but don’t forget your sunscreen! Maundays bay Driving South from the main road is Maundays bay which is completely surrounded by the famous Cap Juluca. Rated “#1 Best Beach Resort World Wide” by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report 2013, Cap Juluca is perfect for romantic getaways. Its Greco-Moorish architecture blends in perfectly with the luscious green tropical trees, powdery white sands and blue seas.

Rendezvous Bay

Each one of Anguilla Beaches offers something distinctive and Rendezvous Bay is no exception. This perfect crescent shaped beach faces St. Martin and has plenty of space. It is clean, calm waters are inviting and known as the soother of the soul. “A hidden jewel” as described by many visitors, The Cuisinart Resort is nestled in the crescent curve of the Rendezvous Bay. This sophisticated beachfront hotel accompanied by its beautiful Mediterranean architecture is well worth a stay or tour. A walk through its amazingly styled gardens makes you wonder how it was possible to grow so much green on little dry Anguilla!

Anguilla is home of many amazing beaches but there is still more to offer! Anguilla is also comprised of several offshore islets, or cays, including Sandy Island, Dog Island, Prickley Pear Cays, Scrub Island, and Sombrero Island.   During your vacation make it a priority to visit all of Anguilla Beaches. Long stretches of white sand, water ranging from royal blue to aquamarine your satisfaction in Anguilla is guaranteed because there’s nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away.
